Yanick Paquette

Meet Yanick Paquette, an illustrator instantly recognizable to dedicated fans of DC Comics and Marvel Comics.

Yanick Paquette is a creator with a highly distinctive style, admired by both fans and critics alike. He has been nominated for the Eisner Award and is a recipient of the Joe Shuster Award.

Yanick has illustrated, among others, the following comic books:

  • Swamp Thing (DC Comics): issues #1 to #18 of the 2011–2013 series, created in collaboration with Scott Snyder, widely regarded as one of the most important and best-reviewed runs in the character’s history.
  • Wonder Woman (DC Comics): issues #1–25 of the Rebirth line (2016–2018), in which he was responsible for a significant portion of the artwork for the character’s new interpretation.
  • Justice League Dark (DC Comics): issues #1–4 of the second volume from 2018, which launched a darker, more magical take on the team.
  • Animal Man (DC Comics): issues #1–5 of the second volume from 2011, part of the launch of The New 52 line.
  • Batman (DC Comics): selected issues as well as special projects and cover art for both the main series and spin-offs, without a single complete, self-contained run.
  • X-Men (Marvel Comics): issues #54–55 of the 1999 series, often referred to as Uncanny X-Men vol. 2, marking his work on the classic mutant team during the transition from the late 1990s to the early 2000s.
  • Ultimate X-Men (Marvel Comics): issue #44 (2004), part of the Ultimate Universe line aimed at a new generation of readers.
  • Wolverine: Origins (Marvel Comics): issues #10–15 (2007–2008), stories focused on the past of Logan, told in a darker and more realistic tone.
  • Wolverine: Weapon X (Marvel Comics): issues #6–9 from 2009–2010, the storyline Insane in the Brain, written by Jason Aaron, focusing on the brutal and psychological aspects of Logan.

In addition, he has illustrated covers for many other comic books, including Gambit, Age of Heroes, New Mutants, and Superman.
